Saturday 13 Oct, 10am bathed 2 kids. 11 am ready to go YeYe NaiNai's place. But first detour to JR to pick up some stuff. Bought stew duck from whampoa mkt at the same time. 12noon lunch in Jurong. GuMa came by with KorKor Ken and ZheZhe Karina. The kids went wild. 3pm head to Spore Discovery Centre. Idea is to watch 3D Sharks movie. Tea at the cafe of half boiled eggs. 4pm ZZzzzzzzz ... the two kids. *sigh* 5pm - movie, both wake up again. caught the movie. That night, everyone head home to punggol tired but happy. (doesn't all chinese zhuowen has this kind of ending?) :-) More paper cutting at home, more pickup morsels from floor. More toys inexplicably migrated to every nook and cranny of the house. Victoria is a genius at paper cutting. This occupies her no end. Sunday made dough from flour. Matt helped with the flour stirring. More crumbs on the floor. The ants and spiders are having a field day.
The story was not finished at the shop with police toys. Finally I said that the toy is for 7 years and above. Matthew " Are you more or less than 7 years old?" Yes I am. "Then if its your birthday I will buy for you" Matthew continued.
Matthew is watching me write this blog, he prompted me to print this. Matthew says " i like to be happy. " "I like to jump around."
Matthew's favourite playground -

Last night went to the shops to get crackers with matthew. He spied some plastic toys...those types with paper cupboard backing, very old style. One of the toys is a police kit, complete with mini handcuffs, baton guns the usual. He said " Mummy, i want this toy so I can lock ah mei up.".
Hmm... devious thoughts for a 4yr old tot. "why?"..." Bcos ah mei always so naughty lor".. hmm...So what happens if I buy for ah mei also? then she also lock you up. "Then I will destroy the toy." Matthew said matter of factly.
These moments of enlightenment with 2 tots... I never pen them down fast enough.
Same evening... "Look mummy"..pointing to the sky. " The aeroplane is going to bang the star". ..:-) So I (aka Mummy) looked up and try my best to express anticipation that we may be witnessing an impending disaster - of a airplane clashing into a star. As the plane's blinking lights flew past the stars...we both sigh a hugh sigh of relief.
I need to explain that to him one day.
